Digital Art by N. Mori

Artist’s Statement:

My digital art lives at the intersection of pop culture and creative impulse. Each piece begins with a lyric or a quote that sparks a mental image: something playful, nostalgic, or familiar. When the creative urge hits, I dive into Photoshop, experimenting with grunge textures and neutral tones to give these references a raw, timeless feel.

Though I'm still learning the ropes and often lean on YouTube tutorials, i find joy in the process. Digital art is one of the many creative outlets I explore, thanks to the restless imagination and a healthy (or maybe unhealthy) dose of ADHD. I rarely stay in one lane creatively, and that's part of what makes my practice exciting- it's never static.

More than anything, I want my work to connect. If someone recognizes the song or does another quote from the movie that the artwork is based on, then I've succeeded. For me, those moments of shared recognition are the best kind of creative validation. nmoristudio.com
