Chairs

Furniture Design by Mickey Bertram Jeppesen Jensen

Artist’s Statement:

My work explores the dialogue between strength and sensitivity — the duality of man and nature, muscle and spirit, command and calm. Every line and curve I create carries my roots — the hands of my ancestors and the values they built upon.

Dobermann Chair represents loyalty, strength, and protection — power held with control.

Deer Chair reflects grace, purity, and nature’s silent balance.

Together, they embody the harmony between force and fragility, movement and stillness.

The Zulu Warrior Chair is a sculptural tribute to courage, heritage, and collective resilience. It honors the universal struggle for dignity and belonging — carved in oak as a dialogue between Nordic craftsmanship and global strength. Its form unites raw power with elegance, symbolizing the inner architecture of endurance shared by all people. It speaks of legacy, survival, and unity — the unbreakable will to rise through adversity.

The Spear Chair captures the essence of direction, precision, and clarity. Sculpted in solid oak, its sharp yet graceful lines echo the motion of a spear — energy condensed into stillness. The piece embodies purpose and focus — the moment before release — representing strength without aggression and progress without haste. Through minimalist tension and craftsmanship, it transforms raw material into a meditation on intention and control.
