Six Poems

Divinity (Acrostic)

Dedicating my whole heart and soul
I have come to know the eternal truth
vanity of any kind binds a man
immediately making him redundant in divinity
no matter even he may be an emperor
involved in great wars
taking place in the history of the world
yielding phenomenal change.

Designation of any kind
identifies a person
vastness of soul in him is forgotten
in the process,
nebulous state of the Self in him
is lost, engendering a form,
telling the world only about his limit,
yet to be free of bondage.

Do not be crazy about lucrative post
illegally holding it on and on.
Value of a man
is not to become powerful
negating all ethics
in performing duties
taking toll of the society
youths being the greatest victim.

Fearless (Acrostic: Freelance Writer)

Freedom being my goal of life,
removing all ignorance,
ever since I have my body,
effective steps taken by me to
light up my inner soul are
allowing myself to get rid of
narrow mindedness, timidity, slavery or
causes of bondage that
engulf my conscience.

Writing poetry is my passion;
realizing the need of independence
I have chosen a name to convey fearlessly
through my poems, all I feel,
encouraging my readers in the battle of life
recognizing their actual benefits.

Homeless

A home is essential for all.

Even birds are known for nests.

Some animals make den their home.

But human, though civilized, remains homeless.

I imagine the situation of Chicago

in winter when lakes become snow.

During summer, in some states in India,

drought compels farmers to commit suicide

In countries where poverty is grave

the government comes forward to help.

Cheap houses are made for them

even sanitation is provided totally free.

The gravity of problem is severe

all efforts are found inadequate,

be it developmental work or technology

human dies in every summer, rain and winter.

Our resources of land and money are limited

not increasing like population.

Over population is a great cause

of human right violation.

Naughty nature

Last midnight hailstorm

blew whistles through gap holes

I covered myself with a blanket

enjoyed music of turbulent nature.

Waking up in the morning I found

everything was in disarray all around

electric bulb became dim

unable to put on heater for tea.

Looking outside, it looked so gloomy

no sun only diffused light

my flower garden was smothered

flattening rose, sunflower, marigold.

I was swinging sitting on a rocky chair

my mind was mesmerized and atoned

with the slow motion of the nature

and the dripping sound of rain on sheds.

Birds were not busy like other days

no chirps were being heard

pigeons were sitting in pairs

drenched dogs were looking for shelter.

Fairy tale of body and mind

My mind has left the body

for never to return

it is floating with the soul

in the ocean of consciousness

the organs have become orphan

no takers for them

love has vanished for them

soon they will be burnt to ashes

no sign of them will exist

it came and will go

is not it totally unnecessary?

Mind has many baggage

brought from the body

no physical pain

but mental agony enormous

desires are the culprits

to cause hell of an anxiety

soul says ‘Live under my shed

forget everything else

those are nonexistent now

think for whom?

You too will die soon’.

Peaceful existence

I sat on the back of a Dolphin

Set on a voyage deep into the sea

Went through all nook and corner

In a venture of unlimited time.

What a wonderful world it was

In the kingdom of water

All inhabitants secured their places

Where anybody was welcomed.

I did not have to breath in air

Since it was my finer body

Which could go anywhere in a blink

Whatever was the distance.

All dwellers were so civilized

Nobody was polluting the surroundings

Glass sponges living for thousands of years

Did not face any threat as in human world.

There were regions where nobody went

From the land of the earth

Some aliens greeted me well

They were going out of water often.

The Dolphin was taking rest

Whenever it was tired

I was using that time

Interacting with others.

I found them so happy

No fear at all

No weapon did ever cut short

Their peaceful existence.
