Artist’s Statement:

These three works, Figures in Umwelt, come out of the same visual and sensory concerns as my recent poetry: figures moving through unstable, contaminated environments, seen from inside a perceptual “bubble.”

BIO: Eliezer Cernin was born in the USSR, watched the country collapse in 1991, grew up in Russia and then went out into the world. He studied Early Music in Amsterdam, performed in Spain, France, and Germany, and finally settled in a Serbian village where he lives with his five children.
