BIO: Maria Duran (she/her) is an art history PhD candidate from Lisbon, Portugal. She writes poetry and prose, studies little known nineteenth-century painters, and is currently writing a chapbook. Her literary work has been published with Gilbert & Hall Press, Black Moon Magazine, and tiny wren lit, among others. Her art work has been the cover of Sophon Lit. She is a finalist of the 2024 Lisbon Poetry Festival. She has been nominated for the 2025 Best of the Net Award. Her debut poetry collection was published by Urutau Press.
